Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Saint Jude the Apostle Parish School. Thank you for your interest in our exemplary 3K through Grade 8 elementary school of over 480 students. Our four pillars of education including faith, knowledge, service and responsibility are intertwined in our comprehensive academic programs, our unique extra-curricular offerings and our strong Catholic identity. For over 75 years, exceptional academics, service to others and a sense of community have been hallmarks of our school. Saint Jude the Apostle graduates attend the finest area high schools. Following graduation, students attend the finest state colleges and prestigious universities throughout the United States. Many of our alumni have been significantly recognized for their outstanding contributions and accomplishments within the church, community and the state.

In the Catholic tradition of education, Saint Jude the Apostle Parish School, in partnership with parents and the parish community, aims at both academic excellence as well as the growth of the whole student. We strive to prepare young men and women for successful high school experiences and subsequent leadership in the community. While providing a secure environment and fostering a positive self-image, we challenge and respect each student's God-given talents.

Through the generosity and support of the parishioners, the school parents, and the community, students at Saint Jude are taught to lead God-centered lives through leadership and example.

We invite and encourage you to visit our school or attend one of our all-school liturgies typically celebrated on Wednesday mornings at 8:15am. Private tours are available.

Technology at Saint Jude School
With computers, iPads, and SmartBoards being utilized by both students and teachers, Saint Jude School is leading the way in Wauwatosa with technology in teaching.

In instructional settings, the value of these technologies often lies in the interactive capabilities. Students are involved and participating in a way that has never been done before. Our middle school students use Mimeo whiteboard responders to keep all students engaged. With this technology, each student is able to respond to a teacher's question simultaneously. The teacher can then quickly assess whether there is mastery of the material being taught. The immediate feedback following instruction allows the teacher to tailor further instruction for individuals and the class.

Many thanks to our benefactors and the Home and School Association which is every single Saint Jude parent.Through your efforts in fundraising we have been able to be in the forefront of education. While always focusing on teaching the basics, we have been able to move ahead and allow our students the opportunities that technology has to offer.

Curriculum Development
The qualified Saint Jude School staff develops the content curriculum areas, focusing on the Wisconsin State Standards, Ardiocesan curriculum guidelines and the needs of our community. Saint Jude School's curriculum plan allows for the necessary flexibility in grouping, progressive sequencing of learning, equal availability of resources, varied curricular experiences and effective evaluation. Textbooks are chosen from the listing of programs recommended by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and are evaluated on a regular basis with new texts only being introduced after thorough research.
